Terms of Service
The rules for using ImageMuse: guest trials, accounts, credits, subscriptions, refunds and AI results.
Last updated: 2026-10-09
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ImageMuse at imagemuse.ai, including the AI photo editor and every tool on the site ("the Service"). ImageMuse is run by an independent developer, not a company; "we" and "us" mean that operator. By using the Service, uploading an image or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms include our Acceptable Use Policy, our Copyright Policy and our Privacy Policy. Please read them too.
The Service
ImageMuse lets you edit images by describing the change you want and runs tools such as upscaling, enhancement, unblurring and background removal. To do this, we send your image and instructions to third-party AI model providers and return the result to you. Which provider handles a request can change at any time, including automatic fallback to a second provider when the first one fails.
We may add, change or remove tools, models, limits and prices. We will try to give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce what you have paid for.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and old enough to agree to these Terms where you live. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to buy credits or a subscription.
Guest Trials
You can try a tool without an account. A guest trial is a free courtesy, not a right, and comes with limits that we may change at any time:
- Guests can run a limited number of free edits, currently one per device and network per day, and only with the default model of each tool.
- Guest uploads are limited to one JPG, PNG or WEBP image of up to 10 MB at a time, and guest results may be limited in output size.
- To keep trials available, we may check that you are not a bot, decline trials from data-center, VPN or Tor connections, limit how many guest sessions one network can open, and pause all trials when a daily budget is used up.
Trying to get around these limits, for example by clearing cookies, rotating devices or networks, or automating requests, is a breach of these Terms. If you create an account after a guest trial, your trial results move to your account.
Accounts
You are responsible for your account, for keeping your sign-in details safe and for everything done through it. Use a permanent email address; we may refuse sign-ups from disposable email services. Tell us at support@imagemuse.ai if you think your account has been misused.
Your Content
You keep all rights you have in the images you upload and in the prompts you write ("Your Content"). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process and transmit Your Content, including to our AI model providers, only as needed to run the Service for you, keep it secure and comply with the law. We do not use Your Content to advertise ImageMuse without your permission.
You confirm that you have the rights needed to upload and edit each image, as described in the Acceptable Use Policy. ImageMuse does not check who owns an image before processing it.
AI Results
Subject to these Terms and the rights of others, you may use the images the Service produces for you ("Results") for any lawful purpose, including commercial use. We do not claim ownership of Results. You should know that:
- Results are generated by AI models and can be inaccurate, inconsistent or unexpected. An upscaled or restored image may invent detail that was not in the original. Do not rely on Results as an accurate record of a person, event, document or object.
- Similar inputs may produce similar Results for other users, so Results may not be unique to you.
- Depending on where you live, AI-generated material may receive limited or no copyright protection, and a Result can still infringe rights that someone else holds in the original image.
You are responsible for how you use Results.
Acceptable Use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. Among other things, you must not use the Service for sexual content, content involving minors, non-consensual or deceptive images of real people, or forging identity documents, receipts or other records. You also must not:
- remove watermarks or rights notices from images you are not entitled to use;
- probe, overload or attack the Service, scrape it or access it by automated means except through an API we provide;
- resell or share access to the Service, credits or your account without our written permission.
To report a copyright problem, follow the process on our copyright page. To report other abuse, email support@imagemuse.ai.
Credits
Most tools are paid for with credits. The credit cost of each run is shown before you start it and can depend on the model and the image size.
- Where credits come from. You get credits by buying a credit pack, through a subscription, as a sign-up bonus or as a promotion.
- Expiry. Credits from a subscription expire at the end of the billing period in which they were granted and do not roll over. Credits from a pack, bonus or promotion expire after the validity period shown when you get them; if none is shown, they do not expire. Credits that expire soonest are used first.
- No cash value. Credits are a licence to use the Service, not money or property. They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money, transferred to another account or sold, except as required by law or by the refund policy below.
- Failed runs. If a run fails on our side, the credits for it are returned to your balance automatically.
- Sign-up bonus. The sign-up bonus is limited to one per person and device.
- Misuse. We may cancel credits, without refund, that were obtained by fraud, chargeback abuse, exploiting a bug or getting around trial limits, and we may withhold credits from accounts suspended for breaking the Acceptable Use Policy.
Subscriptions and Payment
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the price you agreed to, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access and that period's credits until then. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors, such as Stripe or Creem, under their own terms. We do not store your full card details.
Prices are shown at checkout and may include or exclude taxes depending on where you live. We may change prices for future billing periods; we will tell you before a price change applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before it does.
Refunds
- First purchase within 7 days. If you have not used any of the credits from a purchase, you can ask for a full refund within 7 days of that purchase.
- After use or after 7 days. Purchases are non-refundable once any of their credits have been used or after 7 days have passed. Subscription renewals are not refunded, and we do not give partial refunds for unused time when you cancel.
- Your legal rights. Nothing here limits any refund rights you have under the consumer law that applies to you.
To ask for a refund, email support@imagemuse.ai from your account email with your order details. When a refund is issued, the credits from that purchase are removed from your account. If you file a chargeback instead of contacting us, we may suspend your account while it is resolved.
Our Intellectual Property
The Service itself, including our software, design, text, logos and the ImageMuse name, belongs to us or our licensors. These Terms do not give you any right to use them except to use the Service as intended.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or close your account, remove content or refuse service if you break these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if required by law, or to protect users, third parties or the Service. Where reasonable, we will tell you why. If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused, unexpired credits you paid for.
You can stop using the Service at any time. To close your account and have your data deleted, email support@imagemuse.ai.
Disclaimers
The Service and all Results are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that any particular model will stay available.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of Your Content, your use of Results or your breach of these Terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, to the extent the law allows.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, tell signed-in users by email or on the site before the changes take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the updated Terms.
Translations
These Terms may be offered in other languages. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies.
