Privacy Policy

What ImageMuse collects when you edit photos, which providers process your images, and how long we keep them.

Last updated: 2026-10-09

This Privacy Policy explains what information ImageMuse ("we", "us") collects when you use imagemuse.ai and its tools (ImageMuse is run by an independent developer, not a company), why we collect it, who we share it with and how long we keep it. It is part of our Terms of Service.

The Short Version

  • To edit an image, we store it, send it with your instructions to an AI model provider, and store the result.
  • Uploaded images and results are deleted 30 days after they are created.
  • We do not sell your personal information and do not use your images to train AI models.
  • You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time: support@imagemuse.ai.

Information We Collect

Images and prompts

When you run a tool, we collect the image you upload, the instructions or settings you choose, and the result the tool produces. We also keep a record of each run: the tool, mode, model, status, credits charged and the addresses of the input and result images.

Guest trials

You can try a tool without signing up. When you start a guest trial, we create an anonymous guest account and collect:

  • A device identifier. A random ID stored in a cookie named im_did for one year, used to limit free trials and sign-up bonuses to one per device.
  • Your IP address. Stored with the guest account to limit how many guest sessions one network can create, and stored as a salted hash (not in readable form) in our trial ledger to limit free runs per network.
  • Network and bot checks. Your connection's country and network operator (for example, whether it is a data center or Tor) as reported by our hosting provider, and the result of a Cloudflare Turnstile bot check.

If you later create an account, your guest results and trial history move to that account.

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, your name if you give it, and a password (stored only as a hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We also record your IP address and browser user agent with your account and each sign-in session, the language your browser prefers, and the utm_source campaign tag of the link that brought you to us, if any.

Payments

When you buy credits or a subscription, the payment processor collects your payment details. We receive and keep the order: the product, amount, currency, status, the processor's customer and transaction IDs, and the name and email address on the payment. We never see or store your full card number.

Support and communications

If you email us or open a support ticket, we keep your messages so we can help you. We send account emails such as sign-up verification and receipts.

Usage and cookies

We use the following cookies and similar storage:

  • Essential: your sign-in session; im_did (device ID, described above); your language choice (PARAGLIDE_LOCALE); your light or dark theme preference.
  • Campaign: utm_source, to know which link brought you to us.
  • Analytics: where enabled, privacy-friendly or standard web analytics (Plausible or Google Analytics) that record pages visited, device type and approximate location.
  • Support chat: where enabled, a chat widget (such as Crisp) that sets its own cookies when it loads.

How We Use Information

We use your information to:

  • run the tools you ask for and show you your results and history;
  • operate accounts, credits, subscriptions and payments;
  • prevent abuse of free trials and bonuses, and protect the Service from bots and fraud;
  • enforce our Acceptable Use Policy and respond to copyright notices and legal requests;
  • provide support, send service emails and understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

We do not use your images, prompts or results to train AI models, and we do not sell or rent personal information.

Who Receives Your Information

We share information only with service providers that help us run ImageMuse, and only what each one needs:

  • AI model providers: fal, Replicate, Kie, Google (Gemini) and OpenAI. When you run a tool, the image and your instructions are sent to one of them, and sometimes to a second one if the first fails. Some tools also send the image to Google Gemini or OpenAI to describe it before editing. To enforce our Acceptable Use Policy, uploads, your instructions and, for prompt-based edits, the results are also sent to Google Gemini or OpenAI for an automated safety check. Each provider processes the data under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Hosting and storage: Cloudflare, which hosts the site, stores uploaded images and results (Cloudflare R2), provides the Turnstile bot check and reports network information about requests.
  • Payments: payment processors such as Stripe and Creem.
  • Email: our email delivery provider, for account and transactional emails.
  • Sign-in: Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • Analytics and support: the analytics and chat services listed under cookies, where enabled.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of users and others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business, in which case this policy will continue to apply.

Image Links

Uploaded images and results are stored at long, hard-to-guess web addresses so that the tools and your browser can load them. Anyone who has the exact link can open the image until it is deleted, so share result links with care.

How Long We Keep Information

  • Uploaded images and results: deleted 30 days after they are created. Download any result you want to keep.
  • Guest accounts: guest accounts that are never turned into a full account are deleted 30 days after they are created, along with their run history.
  • Trial ledger: the record of free trials and bonuses (device ID, hashed IP address, date) is kept so that deleting an account cannot be used to claim them again.
  • Policy violations: when the safety check blocks an upload or result, we keep a record (the category, tool, time, account, device ID, hashed IP address and links to the blocked images) for as long as we need it to enforce our Acceptable Use Policy. The blocked images themselves are deleted on the same 30-day schedule as other uploads.
  • Accounts: kept until you ask us to delete your account. Order and payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Support messages: kept as long as needed to resolve your request and for our records.

Your Choices and Rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it, by emailing support@imagemuse.ai from your account email. We will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.

You can block or clear cookies in your browser. If you block essential cookies, sign-in and guest trials will not work.

Security

We use encrypted connections, store passwords only as hashes, keep IP addresses in the trial ledger as salted hashes, and limit who can access our systems. No service is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Transfers

Our providers operate in several countries, including the United States, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live.

Children

ImageMuse is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, tell signed-in users by email or on the site.

If a translation of this policy differs from the English version, the English version applies.
